Realistically, things will quiet down soon enough. I wouldn't cancel the trip at all. Peru is a big country and protests are common in lots of countries. This is NOT the biggest political crisis to hit Peru in the last few decades.

| If you travel there avoid cabs including Ubers, from what I hear from someone who lives there they coordinate with others and will rob you. Tourists are getting scoped out as soon as they land at airport. If you have a family friend/friend living there that’s the best way to travel. |
