Dirigibles are the future, sir! |

And where is that all important right of way from DC to Annapolis that OP claims car dependency took from us? |
Can't they run a metro line in the median of us 50 from 95 to Annapolis |
Well when you put it that way, as someone who lives out here, it’s just fine with me that you don’t. |
Why would they want to and for what purpose? |

I was driving down US 50 yesterday and there is wide enough space to run Mark or Metro and put Metro stations in the median of it |
you seem to have a lack of understanding about geography. |
Are you referring to Governor Hogan? The governor who got the Purple Line back on track, and ensured a dedicated state funding stream for Metro for the first time in Metro's history? |
Sure. Kind of like the Silver Line in Virginia, which took 18 years, to build, cost billions, and ran over budget and late? |
No, the governor who killed the Baltimore Red Line and redistributed the money to rural highway projects, in addition to almost derailing the Purple Line, then making sure it cost $1.4 billion more than it should have and was delayed by an additional four and a half years. https://washingtonmonthly.com/2022/06/20/larry-hogan-purple-line-fiasco/ |
So it's actually kind of interesting, how come it costs so much more to build transit projects, and takes so much longer, in the US than anywhere else in the world. |
Not sure if there’s a current DC option, but when I was in Baltimore, I used a boat for summer day trips to Annapolis. I’m not sure of the name of the company, but it went from the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and docked in downtown Annapolis. Maybe there’s something similar that would work for you? |
Lol not enough density to pay for the system. End of story. |
