No, OP, you don't need to know your child's IQ, which is pretty irrelevant at age 7 anyway. As much research has shown, IQ changes as kids grow up. And if you look into the history of IQ testing, you'll find loads of biases and other problems with this method of quantifying intelligence.
As a PP has said, if you think your child is gifted, he probably is, so move forward from there. It only matters what your child is able and wiling to do anyway. He may be a math genius, but he might not care about math, so what difference does a high math IQ mean? Nada.
