OP, that means, writing a letter to the teacher to schedule a EMT meeting. That is just an initial meeting to talk about potentially gathering data. Then another meeting is scheduled to talk about any data gathered. After that, they may talk about testing. It's a long road. Even if your child were to qualify (and based on r's, I doubt it) they would be pulled from class in a group of 4-6 kids. Personally I would do private. Less disruptive and quicker. With private, they will do an eval and also do services without having to prove educational impact and your child will be seen one on one.
