No. There are always birth years between generations that don’t feel they belong. For example early 1960s- not baby boomers & not GenX. Also, early 80s - not GenX and not Millennials (although close to millennials, I would hazard?) |
2004 seems late for millenials doesn’t it? |
Didn’t they just say a gen z congressman was elected? He’s have to be born in the 90s |
‘72. Completely identify with Gen x. |
I prefer Pew Research Center's definitions.

I'm late 84. I thought I was an elder millennial. Never considered myself or was referred to by anyone else as Gen X.
Does anyone else remember that Generation Y was a thing? Cause that's what I thought I was until "millennial" as a term came into vogue. I don't think I made it up, but it seems to be obsolete. |
1970 -- hard core Gen-X.
I completely relate to every stupid stereotype of this generation, and I love it. |
What happened to GenZ? I thought millennials were through only around 1996.
While I get that the boomers are defined by an actual metric of excess births, I am a 1962 and definitely don't relate to the experiences of the boomers born in the 40s and early 50s. Not really GenX either. There is a lot written about the in-between generations. |
My thought is anyone that ends a post with “thoughts” yes so little imagination it’s not worth responding to… Minus maybe pointing it out.

1969 here & complete GenX. But my DH, who was born in 1963, never feels like a Boomer. Our 4 kids span 2 additional generations (Millennial & Zoomer). ![]() |
I just posted - same here! |
73, don’t relate to Gen x of mid 60s. But we are lumped together anyway. |
1973….I’m not 73 |
Where is gen z?? |
1980 and I'm a true Xennial. Not really X, but a little old for true Millienial.
My DH is 1976 and is clearly much more Gen X. It's amazing since it's only a few years. Having the internet around for all of high school (late 90s) high school is the sign you are NOT Gen X. Even though it was slow. |
