Certain 90s and early 2000s nostalgia - what am I missing?

None of this seems worthy of nostalgia for those of us who actually lived through it ...

Thanks guys. Keep ‘em coming.
Yes it is a very white thread. I’m looking very specific niche and mostly female-centered. Not that I didn’t also enjoy other musicians and films of that era. Also maybe not strictly 90s but late 80s-early 2000s before cell phones changed everything.
Anyone want to guess when i was born?

If you want to go back to 80s, do you want to include fashion trends? It was a time of extreme fashion including:
shoulder pads
bubble skirts
big hair w/big hair bows
bubble skirts
leg warmers
off the shoulder sweatshirts
Gunne Sax dresses
loose jumper dresses over tshirts
fluorescent colors
jelly shoes
twister beads
geometric color blocks
plastic bangle bracelets and plastic spring bracelets

You don't think this can still be diverse? Living Single is a great show that is female-centered.

Reality Bites and Office Space -- for those entering the "real world"... defined GenX.

Reality Bites is getting a new tv show?

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/reality-bites-tv-series-in-the-works-at-peacock-exclusive-1235145179/

The twist will be that Lainy will end up with Michael, because the modern age we all go for the money none of this starving artist nonsense.
