The republicans have not paid attention to how radical movements work. They all assume that the crazies are going to go after the left. But radicals actually turn on those within the party and start purging those seen as insufficiently loyal or as traitors. Stalin purged Trotsky, Bukharin and others. Hitler killed Rohm and purged the SA. The Jacobins executed Robbespierre. People like McConnell, Romney, etc. who think they can control the revolutionary furor are fools and will become their victims.

Who exactly votes on this? Serious question.

No Trump made her do that sacrifice to show her loyalty. However, what he didn't realize was the sacrifice was to the establishment so she could work for them against Trump.

How has she worked for the establishment against Trump?

They are screwed. The members of the Republican National Committee were elected at the state level in 2020 during the Presidential primary, caucus, and convention process so most were full MAGA when elected.

Thank you! One of my parents was a Republican local elected official and delegate to the convention and I still didn’t know this.

Although they pretend to be ideological, most are in the RNC for the patronage and perks. When there is a Republican President, they rubber-stamp his choice for Chair. When there isn’t a Republican President, they vote for the person who can raise the most money from corporations and conservative interest groups. The RNC chair is all about the money.

This seems like it’s an autopsy that’s underway?

At what point do they stop blaming the media? Through Sinclair and Fox News, they control the majority of TV news.

Despite the fact that Fox News attracts the most viewers, they'll never stop railing against the ~liberal media~ because it feeds the persecution complex of their credulous voters.

Sinclair is the bigger deal. They own something like 250 local affiliates, so those viewers expecting unbiased morning and/or afternoon news are getting a very conservative slant

Oooof that is bad.
