Great thread! We've got DC's birthday and Christmas very close together so--
-a couple of action figures
-books
-an umbrella
-remote control car
-a baby doll

+1 on asking for the magnatiles as gifts over the years!

DD is obsessed with cars and trucks, so she’s getting a few of them.

I have a 4 year old and a 3 year old. This year I got them:

- Good quality fire truck from Lakeshore Toys (a catalog came to the house, and DS4
- Dress up police officer and firefighter outfit
- Rainbow scratch paper
- Two Playmobil sets
- A few Brio trains (we already have a great deal of hand-me-down tracks and magnetic trains from my brothers)
- Sidewalk chalk

So far my 4 year old is getting a dinosaur cape, a kite, chalk that looks like popsicles, and hot chocolate mix (it's an effective bribe in our house).

From us: Monster jam tshirt and tickets
From grandma: magnatiles
From grandad: monster truck
From other grandma: bath robe and slippers

We limit to one gift from each household otherwise it’s too much stuff.

We don't buy a lot for our daughters (1 and 3) at Christmas because they get so much from family and I prioritize paying for classes throughout and buying them new clothes/shoes and other little presents that reflect new interests (e.g., puzzles) throughout the year. If you can't think of anything, buy them some stock. My grandfather bought me $500 of stock when I was seven and my husband and I ended up selling it for about $23K when I was 31. If you're not sure where to park $400 or $500 right now, buying some stock is probably going to help them more than a barbie dream house.

My kid has an older sibling so we already have a huge toy collection.

She is getting a dollhouse and dolls this year, a few outfits, pjs, piggy and elephant books, and stocking stuffers (bath bombs, fun band aids, slinky, hair clips, fuzzy socks, candy).
