Working at a place like Citadel seems to be the destination for many FAANG folks, multiple times he salary of FAANG.

Really? DH works at FAANG and doesn't know anyone going to Citadel/hedge funds.

Its too niche, most people won't even get an interview there.

The only thing missing from the Princeton's data is Columbia Prof Michael Thaddeus' analysis on why the numbers don't add up.

It's different. PoliSci requires lot of reading, writing and intellectual analysis which most math brains can't do.
