I love pumpkin pie

I love it but only in small quantities with plenty of whipped cream. I hope you have pie for breakfast to tomorrow, OP!

No that is mashed potatoes.

I'm with you pp and always feel alone. I only make the potatoes for everyone else!

You haven’t had MY pumpkin pie. It’s delicious!

It is my (adult) daughter’s favorite Thanksgiving food!

I love it. I had a double decker piece(s) for breakfast. Whipped cream between the layers and on top.

Our homemade pumpkin pie was kinda sunken and dense this year. What did we do wrong?

I hate it. The first time I tried it, I mistakenly thought it was sweet potato. It was so Not sweet potato.

I had the opposite experience. I grew up loving pumpkin, but hate sweet potato. The first time I had sweet potato pie was at a bake sale and I mistakenly thought it was pumpkin. It was so NOT pumpkin.

I think it’s that they seem like they should be similar, and they’re not. If you have a preexisting preference for one, that establishes an expectation for that pleasureable experience, and a contrasting taste comes as a rude shock.

It’s the Libby’s recipe. We all love it morning, noon and night!

Thank you!! My beloved sister-in-law taught me this morning-after-Thanksgiving delight on one of the first holidays I spent with her. It’s genius.
