I saw an sign for ultra sound clinic. Even though I had just had a mammo six months prior, I just had this overwhelming feeling I had to clear my work calendar that day to go to the clinic and get an ultrasound (it was an hour away).
I was diagnosed with breast cancer from that appt. No prior history/ family history of breast cancer. Quite a few BC survivors have similar stories. |

Yes, very. I have very high intuition.
I knew my brothers marriage would end. And the one following that. On the other side, I’ve set up two healthy marriages. I’m just good at predicting people and the future. |
| I don't know if it's intuition but there've been some people I simply could not see clearly in my mind's eye, even if it was someone I saw frequently in person. They all ended up being people who hurt me. Now, when that happens, I steer clear of those people. |
| I grew up in a situation in which, I believed my mother was genuine, a good person, with good intentions. She was not. That will eff you up your intuition. But also possibly heighten it.. Plus, she had turned me against my father, who really was genuine. i didn't figure it out til I was 20+. Might sound like I am dumb, but only emotionally. I am actually intelligent, and I think it's weird that I know so little about how emotions should work. In my life, I have lots of loving friends, and I have noticed that they all have either trauma, or neuro divergence, or substance abuse, just like me. We bonded, then figured out what was in common many years later. I actually have incredible powers of intuition, which I believe is pattern recognition combined with ability to connect two things that seem unrelated but are in the same pattern, with a unique result. It's not ESP, people -- although I do not rule that out. |
| Well, I’m (unfortunately) really an expert at hiding my emotions and could definitely fool you. So there! |
Figuring our that your elderly father is speaking to a phone scammer doesn't take much “discernment”--especially when you’re in the same house. |
| Honest question - very curious what you all think of Trump? He seems like a raging narcissist / psychopath. Can you see this in him? |
He’s definitely a narcissist…. And that’s not exactly an uncommon defect (see “DCUM”). But the terms “sociopath” and “psychopath” are almost as overused as “racist” or “fascist” on this forum. They cease to have meaning from being used so often. True sociopathy/psychopathy is actually quite rare. |
Is there anyone who can't?! |
| Teachers. I'm pretty certain I can tell when they are not prepared for daily lessons. |
I had this same feeling a few years ago. I was out with my kids on what I thought was a normal routine day, and I couldn’t shake that there was a shift in the air. I couldn’t explain it but in that moment I knew I was on my own with them. The next day my ex husband was found dead on the floor in his house. He was found on Monday, he died on Saturday, and I had the feeling on Sunday. Not to alarm anyone but there’s a shift in the air now that I also can’t explain. I’ve felt it for a few months. |
Did you start to feel this when the former PM of Japan was shot, by any chance? |
Your effort would be a tell. I might not be able to put my finger on it, but my alarm would ring. If I'm feeling particularly curious, I might stick around ling enough to figure you out. |
The "grab her by the..." told us all we need to know. |
| I’m not sure I’d call thinking everyone is jealous of you “intuition”. |
