It’s about high school, which does include material about sex because well sex is a topic of conversation in high school. There are no actual sex scenes. Maybe not great for the younger kid, but fine for the 12.5 year old.

My 12 yr old and I recently read the books together and watched the movies. She loved it. It that typically isn’t her genre of interest at all.

Or the “Anne with an E” on Netflix. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed that show.
