Absolutely, those violence interruptors need to be out in the streets instead of locked up in jail. |
| Will Dc be the first jurisdiction to legal driving high? |
There is no deterrent effect, these laws are outdated. Council is right about this one- plenty to squabble about but not this. |
| DC is run by corrupt, incompetent morons. I expect nothing less. |
| Democrats destroy everything . SF used to be a beautiful city. Montgomery county used to be the envy of the nation . |
| Did the legalize larceny in this ? |
There is also apparently no punishment in the whole of the US of A that has a deterrent effect for murder. That does not mean that murders should get lighter sentences. Your logic is deeply flawed. |
| sweet. now no one will get prosecuted for anything. great day for criminals. |
Not quite true. While generally speaking criminals are going to get lighter sentences, any law abiding person with the temerity to defend themselves or resist a crime is going to have the full force of the law applied to them. DC government cares more about criminals than crime victims. |
theyll also prosecute cigarette smokers |
| If and it’s a big if, republicans ever retake the White House they can start going after Unprosecuted state crimes as civil rights violations of victims Abd the public in general. Leaving criminals free to terrorize the public is a clear civil rights violation the same as states not prosecuting the kkk for its crimes against Poc Jews etc |
And people who drive cars. Funny how the penalties on drivers are always going up, and the penalties on criminals are going down. |
envy of the nation? No one cared (or cares). |

How many PPs have read the bill? The commentary? Any of the documents produced by the Commission? Any of the hearings on the bill?
|
| This is not a decriminalization bill I really wish people would read |
