where do the SAHM workout in Bethesda?

Does it have to be spinning? I go to the Washington Sports Club location in Bethesda and it is packed with women of childbearing age from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. That location does have spinning, but I think most of the classes are timed for working adults, like 6:30 pm and on weekends.

There's an awesome total body conditioning class taught by Libby at the Washington Sports Club in North Bethesda on Thursday and Saturday mornings and in Chevy Chase on Tuesday mornings. Great workout (she doesn't teach spinning). WSC has many good spinning instructors at most of its clubs.

OP-nycmom here again-thank you! everyone for your advice! I had looked into the Washington Sports Club- we are in Burning Tree area part of Bethesda...not sure which WSC is closer- i am guessing the one nearest Bethesda row?

The new Equinox holds promise. I go to Lifetime near Rockville, it is fantastic. Not sure where in Bethesda you will be, but I would check it out. Good spa too! And good childcare facility for your little ones if needed (free). The cafe is a nice option for meals for yourself, a smoothie, or the kids menu is good. I am a SAHM in Bethesda, and I love it! Hope you do too. It's a great area and you will meet lots of nice people. There are some good yoga studios in downtown Bethesda, as well.

While Lifetime Fitness would be a 10 minute drive for you-- it is worth checking out. Much better parking and facilities than WSC.

Potomac Pilates in Potomac Village is excellent and less than 10-15 minutes from Burning Tree.

Fitness First - I have been a member off and on for 20+ years. They are on Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda. Not pricey and provide everything you need (no tennis or swimming)

I'm in upper NW DC, bordering Bethesda. I go to Sport and Health in Tenleytown (in DC) and know lots of Bethesda SAHMs there. There is good spinning, or at least it seems to be from the packed classes. Nice, low-key gym. I would guess Bethesda Sport and Health might be worth checking out. FWIW, Tenley has good childcare. Not sure if Bethesda Sport and Health does. And Equinox is opening near Bethesda Row, which I would join if I could afford. It should have great spinning. You may be able to get a good deal if you join before opening, but check on childcare.

Welcome to the area.

Fitness First on Wisconsin is good, too. I used to go there before moving to DC. They have spinning and daycare and they're very affordable. Good luck and welcome to DC
