Elon musk is an ass. Mark Zuckerberg is kind and decent.

1) 16 weeks + 2/year of service + pto payout + RSUs + healthcare + career counseling for 3 months + visa support + left employees email addresses on so that they could say goodbye

2) He took responsibility for this happening, expressed deep regret and empathy for those who are leaving and those who are staying

Musk

1) Paraded into Twitter with a kitchen sink. Laid off half his work force one week later.

Mark is founder of his company. And it's needing to lay off approx. 11,000 people.

Musk just bought his company. He is laying off far less people.

Zuck stole the idea for Facebook from his friends. Original purpose was to rate hotness of college girls. That says all.

Just an fyi, under CA law, you have to give employees over 50 two months notice of mass layoffs. So, that 16 weeks, is actually 8. Two months of Zuck’s “generous” leave would have been required by law anyway.

Also, how is a person who is taking responsibility for his actions by firing 11,000 people - and then telling everyone how bad he feels, so we should feel sorry for HIM - a nice guy?

Let them eat cake.

They are both raging narcissists.

disagree. While I am not a fan of Zuckerburg, to me, he at least understands what it takes to keep the company going without imploding. His background is in software development.

Musk, OTH, doesn't seem to give AF about Twitter's reputation as a reliable platform. As a startup, twitter wouldn't have needed this many people, but as the product matures, adds more functionality and gains a sh1t ton more users, you need a larger team to support it.

I worked in SV for 20 years, and saw both companies grow rapidly. IMO, FB is probably more bloated than Twitter, however, Meta is trying to branch out a lot more than Twitter is.

Zuckerberg is a cocky dweeb. Musk is a flat out weirdo who looks like a troglodyte.

His 'background' is a college dork who dropped out. Software development...please. By that token Elon's background is in financial investment.

He is not kind, decent, or a better businessman. But he has a track record of taking and implementing advice from those with more expertise than him.

Facebook relies on top tech talent, it’s a small world, he is trying to protect his employer brand as much as possible, especially after the Company brand has been so heavily tarnished in the last few years.

1) Mark - 16 weeks + 2/year of service + pto payout + RSUs + healthcare + career counseling for 3 months + visa support + left employees email addresses on so that they could say goodbye

2) Elon - 12 weeks + pto payout + RSUs + healthcare

The only difference is 4 weeks (guaranteed) pay and a contrite goodbye. Is that really all it takes to impress you?

Twitter has company police??!! They are mentioned in the "you're safe" letter.
