Great French fries at home- without deep fryer

I now use this as my fry recipe and will never go back. It’s basically foolproof.

that is easy. Heat a lot of oil, cut potatoes, pat them dry, fry them up. Take them out and fry them again.
French fries at home are 1000x tastier than any fast food ones. Salt with kosher salt.

I toss cut potatoes with oil and bake them on a sheet at 450. You need a HOT oven to cook potatoes. You can also pan fry them instead of deep-fry, but you still need the oil to be good and hot.

I was inspired and made them tonight - all I can say is WOW! They were phenomenal. I am excited for the oil to cool so I can see how much oil was used but sounds like it will be minimal. We did a mix of seasoned salt with regular salt and liberally seasoned. We also had some other seasoning from a restaurant chain in Vegas for potatoes that we added to some - seriously amazing. Assuming oil was minimal, I doubt I’ll ever make frozen again. I’m already planning what I can make to have these for a dinner party! So easy and so good.
