| Back to OP. Review grades with kid to see where tge problem is. Are they really bad, or did teacher put on 50% placeholders? Approaching teacher is tricky for kid. Yes, it should be them, but at this point with grading period over, maybe you need to contact teacher, counselor, resource teacher with some praise for tge interesting class and then concern about grades (which are important, that is fair), inability to incorporate feedback or improve work and anxiety from not knowing where they stand. It can be hard for a kid to articulate the concerns without aggravating the teacher. Hope it is just a glitch and all ends ok! |
