This is a FACT. I have tested this and saving a few bucks is NOT WORTH IT. You would barf at my legal bills.


You have a teen driver who is insured but isn’t on their own named policy and you have large legal bills because of an accident? Wouldn’t they have those bills themselves on their own policy?

The umbrella insurance definitely could help if the claim is over your liability limits.

We also switch from Geico to Nationwide after Geico would not increase our umbrella from $2M to $5M as we requested.

Looking at their website, they have a lot of agents in Maryland for not insuring there. Its been 15 years since I have lived in MD, but I got quotes from them when I lived there. Pretty sure you are making things up.


No they don't insure house unless you use another vendor like Safeco...but it is not Nationwide. Then they try to bundle the whole thing with SAFETCO for a bundle price. It is the same price as Geico.
