Infertility Support and Discussion
I'm so sorry, 2:35 poster, for your experience.
I have two children, both through the help of Dr. Sacks at Columbia Fertility. My first was conceived via IUI, and the second conceived by IVF after just one cycle. So suffice to say, I love Columbia Fertility and Dr. Sacks. All told, though, I had 8 IUIs there (only one was succesful) and some of them were performed by Dr. Rifka or Dr. Butler and I did not like either of them, particularly Dr. Butler. They were very cold. Dr. Sacks is a genuinely warm and wonderful person, and he really made my husband and I feel like we were being listened to and well-cared for. The nurses at the IVF center are also great, as is Carolyn, who does not work IVF, but may be involved in some of your monitoring. Best of luck to you. |
| Our two children (3 IUIs and 2 IVF cycles total)h, and our good friend's two children, are thanks to Dr. Sacks. If it weren't for him, I would have gone to Shady Grove. |
| Pregnant with #1 thanks to Dr. Sacks. Although I did not use IVF I just had to weigh in ... I love Dr. Sacks and the entire practice at Columbia Fertility, I found them to be 100% responsive to everything I needed/wanted. |

Terrible experience with Columbia Fertility. The nurse was new and was 'learning' on me. She had no experince with infertility. Wrong dosage of BC pills were given. They miscalculated my days- I had to stay on top of them myself. It was so unorganized. Didn't get a medication 'teaching' till I asked for it. When I had a n emergency it turns out that they have the wrong number listed on the aswering machine of the arlington office. Turns out I had polyps in my uterus which they missed becuase the doctor only went by the written report. Had bleeding after a hystosonogram for over 2 weeks with no explanation. Ballooon popped during the hystogram and was a very painful experience.
The care seemed distant and was not professional. I heard Dr. Sachs is good. Too bad he wasn't my doctor. |
