Question about Pyle and Whitman

OP you sound really strangely obsessed with this question. Why not call the school?

Pyle parent here: this summer, there is one group going to France and Spain, and another group going to Italy (only 8th graders and up). In the spring, one group is going to Tokyo. Call the office to get connected to the relevant teachers to get on the list.

Because schools are closed on the weekend.

Don't know about Pyle, but at TPMS there are trips this year to Spain and Viet Nam. Maybe there are more but I've only gotten emails about those two.

Pyle and Whitman parent here. While there are quite a few trips every year they tend to be quite pricy. After reviewing, I can normally take the entire family of 4 for the around the price of one kid going and sharing a room. We let our daughter go to two of them and even she now states just doing it up as a fam for spring or winter break is preferable. Just an opinion

I agree. We did one trip knowing the math doesn't compare to the value we could have had with a family trip. But we knew going in that it would just be a one-off: we wanted DC to develop some independence in travel that they wouldn't get in a sleepaway camp. But, the schedules on these trips (as on all package tours, I think) are so packed that the kids get incredibly tired. It worked out for summer only b/c we didn't book other summer activities immediately after the trip. I can't imagine doing group int'l travel for spring break -- too tiring w/o adequate time to recover before school. But, having said that, my DC thoroughly enjoyed the travel opportunity, being on their own (w/o parents, but some chaperones for security assurances), and exploring a new city with kids their own ages. I did the same as a high schooler, and it was great fun. But, definitely not necessary.

Pyle parent. We don't actually know anyone who went. They are really small.
