Current rate for tween mothers helper in Mont. Cty MD?

A real mother‘s helper as in you are in the house and they are playing with the kids, keeping them occupied, and maybe feeding them a snack while you are there?

Or, like a woman in one of my neighborhood groups who was looking for a “mothers helper”, Full-time who would do laundry, clean and help cook the kids and family meals.

OP here. Yes a real mothers helper. Just a 12 year old girl playing/reading/ occupying while I remain in the house.

I think it depends on how kid will get to your place. Next door? I think 10$ is good. Drive or metro? Well at least 15$.

OP here. Yes a real mothers helper. Just a 12 year old girl playing/reading/ occupying while I remain in the house.

For this (and I prep food and leave out paper plates/napkins) I pay $10/hr for an 8th grader. I’m home. She just plays with my kindergartner while I work on things like early dismissal days.

This is PP. FWIW I’m in Silver Spring and I pay $18/hr for HS, $20 for college, and $22-25 for adults for real babysitting when I’m not home and I expect cooking and to come home to a cleanish house (with the adult)
