Stopovers from DC to Charleston, SC by car

Do not stop in Fayetteville. We stopped in Florence SC for a drive back from Florida. Stayed at a hotel in center of town that had been immaculately redone and great staff. I think it was Hotel Florence.

Outlet shopping strip, some Cracker Barrels and SOTB. It's not a lot going on. I go see family and I'd love to hear more answers.

We have been doing the trip from NOVA to Charleston beaches for years and has never taken us 10 hours! Are you all stopping to pee every 2 hours?? We don't travel on Saturdays with the other highway lice, maybe that's the difference.

Your 2 month old will dictate when and where and for how long you stop. Wherever we tell you does not mean your 2 month old will be awake and needing to eat when you pass it or that your 2 month old can wait another 50 miles to get there when they’re screaming to be changed.

Maybe because you aren’t traveling on weekends? My family is there and we have had the 100mi to Richmond take 3hrs just sitting in traffic unless we leave at 5am or 9pm. I’m a PP who suggested leaving at those times because of our experiences driving 95 many many times.
