EV owners, how long did you wait for your car?

We just got the Volvo C40 Recharge. MSRP. Ordered from Don Beyer Volvo in August. It’s a really nice car.

Very confused by the 2022 car buying realities.

Also, has anyone bought a Volvo EV? I see two models advertised a lot, but they don’t seem to exist in the real world — I clicked on one ad to find inventory and no dealer within 250 miles had such a car. Also, Lexus has started advertising an EV but the dealer said they had no information about such a car. They said it’s a future possibility. I wonder why they bother to advertise a car that doesn’t exist.

Theoretically, we have a Volvo C40 Recharge coming at the end of November.

Did you order it online? Are you paying MSRP, or more? Thanks.

We didn’t order online - went through a local dealership - but my husband dealt with all the details, so that’s really all I know. He really liked it in the test drive.

My buddy in Minnesota bought one earlier this year - he loves it. Paid MSRP, ordered in March 2022 and was delivered in 7 weeks. Not bad at in terms of wait.

He ordered a Rivian last year in Oct 2021 and just had his delivery date pushed out again to "sometime in 2024." LOL
