He's a nice enough guy, but it's not like he's the Attorney General.

?

In relation to the claim that people only tolerate her because of her husband's job. He's not that important, in terms of people in the DC area.

His current job, no, but previously his fed job had him working as the right hand person to an SEC Commissioner and if you’re ever needing an opinion letter, etc, I just tried to stay clear of them bc of his connection to the commissioner. Do I think he would have necessarily held a grudge, I don’t know, but I just didn’t want to get involved in anything messy, esp if he’s anything like his crazy wife. I know other people in Rosemont who felt the same. We aren’t friends, but our paths cross constantly bc of where we live and having kids the same age. He’s not at that fed job anymore.

Seriously? That's really a stretch.

Not the PP, but I don't think that's a stretch at all.

So ACPS can endorse a forum on its official website and deny its involvement?

Sounds like people in Alexandria buy into a social capital/collateral system that is illusory. I guess me being immune from caring makes me unique.

That’s not what I said. Just this type of forum doesn’t meet the standard for what triggers open meetings laws.

Read the definitions for “public body” and “meeting” for the stature. A PTAC safety forum is not an official meeting of a governing public body. You seem to be misconstruing what open meetings laws cover.

I always assumed he was a beard.

I understand the frustration when rules, laws, etc only have to be followed by certain people in Alexandria but I think the focus should be on PTAC and why as a group it allows disinformation to be spread. Why are they endorsing the false narrative that gangs aren't in the schools? This directly contradicts what the Chief of Police said less than a month ago. Why hasn't PTAC ever said a word about the fact that parents were never told about a gang rape (Alderton's words) at Minnie Howard?

Why is PTAC allowing, endorsing and spreading false information about safety in schools? Why are they so afraid of parents who contradict PTAC's false narrative? Why did they elect as their leader a woman who apparently celebrated violence against a child?

Because the president of PTAC is a nut job, and she will NEVER go against the Justin Wilson/uber progressive/ city council narrative. NEVER. And she will defend it until she dies. She will get in your face, yell at you, make it her mission. There is something seriously wrong with her and all the people who follow in lock step with her. Added bonus points for her having a kid at Minnie Howard last year so she was well aware of what was going on there. I am appalled that she was selected to have this leadership position. It tells me all I need to know about PTAC,

I don't have the level of dislike for her that many on this board seem to. But I will say that she seems to be good at getting others to bend the rules for her benefit. Like why is her older kid a "manager" (or maybe more like a manager's assistant or jr manager) of a travel soccer team, when travel soccer teams generally only have one adult manager and no other kids involved in management? It's not harming anything, and he seems nice enough, but why are the rules different than for everyone else?

Because travel soccer in this town is heavily intertwined with the local Democratic party. You could make a TV series about backassward Alexandria is.

He doesn’t play on the team? I took it from the FB posts he is on the team as a player. We’ve been with ASA for years and I’ve never heard of a kid manager.

No, her younger son is on the team. I guess that is why they let the older son be a manager? But when I asked if my older daughter could do that for my younger daughter's team, I was told no. I don't know if it is an individual coach decision, I assumed she was getting special treatment, but perhaps that is unfair.
