Super comfortable shoes to wear with a cocktail dress?

I have pretty bad arthritis in my feet but I'm not ready to give up on cute heels completely! I have found some wedge sandals that work pretty well in the summer without orthotics (think Papillo, Spring Step), and I've tried tennis shoes and boots with more casual dresses, but I have no shoe options for true cocktail attire when I can't get away with tennis shoes. I'm short and in my 50's. I can't be the only one! Any specific leads? Thank you!

Before the pandemic I had two pairs of naturalizer pumps similar (the same?) to these:

I could make it through a full work day and picking up my kids so maybe would work for you? Could try with an insert.

This pair is cuter if you can stand a pointed toe

Yes to these. These are super comfortable even for problematic feet.

I bought these post-pandemic in all 3 colors. I don't have to wear heels often, but when I do, I love these.

This might just be my height talking (5'8"), but I'd rather wear a cute pair of flats than a chunky heel or wedge/platform. Those just end up looking clunky on me. I can get a much more delicate look with pointy toe flats, or maybe a 1/2" heel.

But then, I wear a size 9 shoe... chunky heels might not look so overwhelming on a smaller scale!

I'm also 5'8 (but wear a size 10 or 11, depending on the brand) - I think chunky heels rarely look elegant. Wedges can look much sleeker, IMO, though it can be tough to find dressier versions. But something like these could work:

Yes very occasionally Comfort One has beautiful shoes. Sometimes they are all clunkers. My most expensive heels are from there and have lasted years.
