well, it was a beautifully written essay and it conveyed a lot about the student’s life, and also showed how the student had good qualities like being supportive, perceptive, etc. |
| The NYT does not have a paywall behind search, so you can google "college essays 2022" (or any other article you want to read) and you will not hit the paywall. In this instance, it's better to read the essays, there are several, written very well. |
What does the NYT have to do with journalism? |
Seriously. It's only $4/mo. |
| All you have to do is go to archive.ph and enter the link. You’ll get an archived version. You’re welcome. |
I came to the conclusion that there are relatively few outstanding essays. And my kid’s would not be among them. It sort reduces the stress. I don’t think these essays can be taught, edited or coached, from anything my otherwise talented kid could write. |
One of my DC's had a killer supplemental essay, but never submitted as they got into their ED. Oh well. |
| How do you not have a subscription to the NYT??? |

You can’t be serious. Do you have a subscription to the WSJ? No? How on earth can that be?!
Do you people ever actually hear yourselves? |
| Pieces like this are why I gladly pay for my subscription to the NYT. This is just wonderful. |

Really enjoyed these! Thanks for sharing.
For those who don't subscribe already, I get so much from our NYT subscription. It doesn't cost a ton and is so informative. |
