Teva makes these great really comfy, warm waterproof shoes and boots. They are slip on called something like a slipper shoe.

Lands End makes a waterproof Moccasin kids shoe. They look like the Merrill’s but come in Wide. We have used these for years.

Note, VANS slip ins have never worked for my kiddo. Not wide enough. And “too scratchy”.

We also allow the wearing of crocs or Natives far longer than you might want to because we just choose not to have that arguments.
