Am I being impatient? Does your 7.5/8yo open water bottles and twist cap drink bottles?

She’s not impatient, she’s observant and double checking that there’s nothing out of the ordinary going on, which every mother has done at some time or another.

OP asked is she is being impatient. Since the kid is not willfully refusing to open bottles, she is being impatient. Either wait for the kid to gain strength and dexterity or get her help with those skills.

My 7.5 year old just started opening twist caps a couple of weeks ago. Still can’t open his reusable thermos himself though.
