| No recommendation for endo specialist but locally would recommend Dr. Frankfurter at GW IVF for the fertility side. In my circumstances, they caught the adenomyosis diagnosis on an HSG and then follow up MRI in initial IVF testing and are taking it seriously for discussion of options for uterine preparation for an FET to try for best outcome (had banked embryos previously). When discussing the adenomyosis diagnosis, felt he had read up on the literature to try to be very knowledgeable of the condition and how it might affect the IVF/FET process; moreover, was willing to talk through options of treatment. Don’t know how it will go yet but did feel heard - I’d complained to my obgyn about heavy periods and extreme cramping previously and hadn’t even heard of adenomyosis being a possibility; but when went to GW and described my symptoms as part of the IVF process, they immediately thought that we should explore the possibility of endo or adenomyosis when doing the prelim testing. |
