Does your school offer fieldtrip?

My kids entire school is going to a farm for their field trip for the fall. I would love to see my kid go to Strathmore or Imagination stage if they get to do a second one.

My 3rd grader had two years of basically no field trips due to the pandemic, but they did go to Strathmore last year. In kindergarten they did the typical farm and zoo trips, but also did a walking tour of the monuments in DC. I chaperoned that trip and it was awesome! The students had been learning about American symbols and were adorably excited about seeing the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. It was a lot of walking, but the kids were well-behaved and I was impressed with the teachers' organization.

I am pro- field trips as they give the kids more experiences that they would not otherwise have.

I realize that’s the idea, but at DD’s Title I school, every child has been to the locations we went to for field trips pre-covid. Every child. We weren’t giving them any new experiences.

Every child has been everywhere? Wow that's quite a definitive statement.

Sounds like the school went to the zoo and maybe Butler’s Orchard every year.

K went to a farm, 1st to the zoo, 4th to St Mary’s, 5th grade to Baltimore, and the Strathmore trip was traditionally all 2nd and 5th graders in the county.

Field trips are wonderful. They’re some of my kids’ favorite school memories.

How much did they have to pay?
