Another day, another girl fight (physical)

Yes! Girls fight dirty, and it can go on for years.

Boys seem to just have it out, then either make up and forget, or avoid each other.

Not in Alexandria. The girl fights never make the news because the boys are stabbing and shooting each other on school grounds. Guess y'all are in good school systems where boys are having fist fights like the girls.

Lots of girl fights in the FCPS elementary I worked in. Boy fights too. A lot of them after school, though.

What leads to most fights? Boy drama?

Not just girls, but fighting at Luther Jackson is an issue raised to the superintendent.

“Several parents raised concerns about fighting at Luther Jackson Middle School during a “community conversation” for the Falls Church pyramid with Superintendent Michelle Reid Sept. 13.”

I’m curious what leads to these girls fighting. Any ideas?

There was a bad girl fight at Frost last year. I have not heard about one this year.

In no particular order: boys, friend drama, exclusion, shit talking via social media

Two fights that I'm aware of at Key Middle School. One during the day in the bathroom and one after school as the buses were loading. Hispanic girls.

So if my socially awkward kid isn’t on social media and has not interest in boys yet, she’s safe?

White girls fight, too, PP. We're at Woodson, tons of white girls fighting. My daughter's friend got caught in the crossfire while trying to help break one up and had a sharp nail gash across her arm.

It's middle school and hormones are everywhere. There's no guarantees. However, it's very rare for an introverted girl who keeps to herself to get randomly jumped. Girls usually get specifically targeted for one of the reasons listed above.

Was it at Cooper MS?
