Hungarian goulash served over egg noodles.

Swedish meatballs served with gravy over egg noodles.

Bolognese over tagiatelle.

Drunken noodles with beef (although to be honest my recipe for this is "call the Thai restaurant for take out")

My family devours this:

Cook a pound of macaroni.

Cook a pound + of ground beef. You can saute onions or garlic first if you like.

Drain the beef and stir it into the cooked pasta. Stir in a jar of your favorite tomato sauce. Stir really well to incorporate the sauce. If you want it saucier, add more from another jar.

Pour into a casserole dish. Top with shredded mozzarella, and a bit of cheddar or parm if you like. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

This is one of my favorite braised beef recipes. You can serve it over noodles or rice. Add a side of bok choy or Chinese broccoli (gai lan), and it’s fantastic!
