Feel like I never have appropriate shoes

I hate shoes and have terrible feet. I have classic ferragamo flats and low heels in black, tortoise, navy, nude and red. Those make any outfit I need to dress up. I have Frye booties in black and brown leather. Gucci loafers in black, navy and pink. I mostly wear black aquatalia slip on sneakers or brown suede ugh slip on sneakers.

I feel like the length of my pants is never right for any boot.

I have hallux rigidus on one foot so a bump like a bunion from toe arthritis from an injury. That means I can't wear 90% of shoe brands except for New Balance or a few sandals. I pretty much just buy them from Caroline Macaron in France. Lady shoes, sneakers and ankle boots. It makes life simple as hers are the only shoes that look nice, are not orthopedic, not cheap, and do not hurt my bad foot. I have collected 15 pairs including stuff like 3 pairs of loafers etc. So shoes for every occasion from one specialty site. In France women with bunions don't want to always wear ugly orthopedic shoes.

I looked up Caroline Marcaron -- they look like the perfect collection of shoes for those of us with foot issues. Do you buy them in France? I had a little trouble navigating the website with my high school french skills.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Please keep the recommendations coming.

There is no one shoe that serves all purposes, I think that's where posters here get tripped up a lot. They want a shoe they can hike in and then wear to the gala.

I probably have fewer shoes than most:

All in black, navy and brown
Sandals
Flats
Heels

Plus black boots with a high heel and another pair with with no heel.

Flip flops, water shoes

Running shoes. When my knees start to hurt I get a new pair and use the old pair as errand day sneakers

Do I need to have to sets of every type of shoe for day and night? Ex. Black bootie - lug sole for day, a note refined one for night? Or does anyone have links to shoes that are versatile…

Same here.

I mostly wear black ankle boots and have several pairs. I do not care about the length of my pants because the ankle boots fill the space for pants which are too short. As is probably obvi, I don’t like or wear ankle pants. I like full length.

Dresses or skirts are a bit trickier for me, sometimes i wear ankle boots, but I usually prefer a higher boot or a non-boot shoe with a bit of a heel.

While I like fun shoes, I’m past the age of caring about what is currently in fashion. I wear what I like, both in terms of how it looks and how it feels.

Any black ankle boots you’d recommend?

Ugh I have so so so many pairs of shoes its ridiculous and I still have issues. (I also am not generally a clothes horse, I buy things used, cheap, whatever, use only one or two bags ever but shoes).
also I'm short and like some height, but dislike little heels, prefer wedges and chunky heels. Finally I have raynauds and my feet get super cold even in relatively mild winters...

Of my many shoes, the ones that are not guilty mistakes (eg that I use all the time)

1) winter boots from La Canadienne I have slightly thick sole zip up to under knee black suede boots. These are for cold weather, etc. look good with leggings, jeans, skirts. etc Last for years.
2) short booties from La Canadienne. Again the cold thing, and they last foreveer.
3) leopard print wedge booties from Toms. These are fun and dress up my otherwise mostly black wardrobe
4) 3 different wedges from Fly London (two are peep toe in pewter and black suede, one in closed toe black suede). These are good with pants or dresses.
5) Silver leather/woven loafers/flats from Ecco. These are incredibly comfortable and I wear with jeans.
6) silver tennis shoes, wear for travel, running around. can't remember the brand.
7) Nude strappy heels (kenneth cole?) for most of my spring and summer dresses
8) Chunky-ish pumps in black and navy/blue by Aerosole for work/winter/ dress up (the Bette: https://www.aerosoles.com/products/bette-navy-genuine-suede?variant=28762130743380)
9) cheap summer sandals from Dream Pairs (amazon)--swear these are comfortable and get lots of compliments. I have several of their styles (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08153Q4X5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I have the same issue. I've gotten rid of so many shoes in the past year because they have no support and now I have no shoes to wear.
