Omg you haven’t researched these schools at all, have you? In terms of student body, Rice is the opposite of Georgetown. By the Fiske book or something! |

| Notre Dame? |

What are the elements that he liked that put Georgetown at the top?
It is hard to suggest other schools without knowing what those are. 5-10K is unfortunately an unusual size. Ivy League and Jesuit schools fit the bill, though. |

So many.

What is wrong with the people on this forum?! You need an attitude check. All I asked was to hear this poster's observations? |
| What about Georgetown are you hoping to replicate? Is it the student background/demographic? level of academic rigor? student diversity? |
| Tufts or maybe BU |
OP didn't specify that student body needs to be exact. Some of these suggestions are based off similar academic reputation. Seems like an innocuous question to ask what the PP observed on their tour. |
OP: What are the academic & social reasons that make Georgetown an excellent fit for your son ? Without more specific information, your son may be interested in Boston College, Northwestern University, Univ. of Pennsylvania, Duke University, and Notre Dame. Others include WashUStl, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth College, Virginia, and Wake Forest university. |

Tufts is probably the closest. We also live 20 minutes away and our kid chose Georgetown.
I agree with some of what others have posted - Emory, Rice, Northwestern (though bigger) and depending on academic interest, Hopkins. |
Datmouth, Notre Dame and UVA are not in or near major urban areas. |
