You can eat those things and still have disordered eating. Sounds like an eating disorder. |
Who says either is okay? No one is saying either is okay. |
1. People should not comment on other people’s bodies, particularly negatively.
2. Given that OP has started telling us all about her diet without any prompting, I assume she does this with her friends too which is why they are commenting. 3. OP, don’t talk about your weight/diet with your friends and don’t wear super skintight clothes and no one will even notice. If they do comment just look blank and change the subject. |

5 pounds when you are already thin is a LOT. I notice a difference in just one pound on my body. Read about the Paper Towel analogy. https://lifehacker.com/the-paper-towel-analogy-explains-why-weight-loss-is-a-1733478690 The lesson to be learned is that fat, like paper towels, comes off in sheets. When you are heavy, you are big around. And when you are big around, that fat is spread over a MUCH larger area - just like that outside towel sheet. The closer you get to the lean you, the more each lost pound of fat shows, because it is spread over a smaller area. While the outside sheet may only cover 1 layer of the roll, the inside sheet may go around 4 times. That last sheet looks like it gives you 4 times the results of the first sheet, but in reality, the results are the same - your perception is just different! And you’ll never see the inside, if you aren’t patient while the outside is coming off! |
Just say you want to reach your pre-baby weight - that's not an uncommon goal among women who have had babies. No one truly cares. Maybe they see you eating 6 bites of food for lunch when they just got takeout or something.
Once you get to 112, are you able to eat normally? If you need to live on 1.5 meals a day any time you're not pregnant, that sounds kind of miserable but you do you, OP. I weigh 3 or 4 pounds more at the same height but lucked out with my metabolism and can eat 3 meals and many snacks per day. If I had to eat half of that (or less), I would rather just be heavier. |
I can't exactly speak to this problem because I've lost nearly 100 pounds over the last year and exactly 8 people have said anything to me about it the whole year long. Husband, in laws, sister, a friend, two acquaintances, and one work colleague. A hundred pounds lighter and exactly six comments from people besides my husband! (I know I know, nobody wants to offend me, whatever.)
So, on a positive note, you have people around you who pay attention to you and care about you. The message itself isn't optimal, but they are showing you care in their own way. |
