NP but what is the difference between MXP and LIN? I was looking at some connecting flights today and most seemed to go to LIN. Is it a local airport? |
Yes, Linate is the closer in, short haul airport serving Milan. It's sort of the DCA to Malpensa's (MXP) Dulles. MXP is further out, has the long haul flights. If going to Milan or the areas east or south of Milan, Linate is closer. it's a good.option if you are connecting in Europe anyway. You can use the airport code MIL to search both airports at the same time (same as you can use WAS to search the 3 DC area airports). |
| I connected through ZUR once, though it was years ago. I had a toddler with me and was so shocked at how family friendly the airport was. They had a special napping room for babies/toddlers, adjacent to a bathroom with tiny toilets and sinks. All very accommodating and welcoming for weary parents. I haven't seen anything like it elsewhere. |
