Make sure to hit the Luquillo kiosks to eat after! |
Ok, just be aware Uber can be really hit or miss! It’s edged out a lot by local taxis. We had a guy Uber us to San Juan and he was great so he gave us his number and we texted him when we were ready to go back and he ended up taking us to the airport too. But another night when he was working we got an Uber to the Luqillo kiosks and then after dinner there were NO Ubers available. Just keep it in mind when you Uber anywhere! It’s not as guaranteed a thing in PR as it is here that you’ll easily get a ride back. |
PR native here. It’s best to rent a car. El Yunque Isis very explorable by yourselves. We personally like going on Angelito’s Trail down to the river and going swimming in Charco las Damas. It’s wonderful and our kids love it. Clear, clean, cold water, lots of little falls, little fish and shrimp you can see. It’s a spectacular place. We also like hiking La Mina and also going all the way to the top of El Yunque for the views. But you need a lot of time to do that. Stop off at Lluvia cafe or Bungalu restaurant afterwards at the foothills of El Yunque. Tasty food there. Have fun! |
