There are like 58 schools in the ISL (ok, not quite that many, but a lot). Can't think of any that are top tier across the board.

Holton is the most competitive across all sports. Second is probably Stone Ridge. Then other schools will be dominant in individual sports. Sidwell in BB, Soccer and Tennis. Flint Hill in Volleyball. Etc.

Stone Ridge culture is very sports oriented in a healthy way...encouraging all girls to participate in some way. Even soccer is no cut for JV.

This is . . . Not at all right. Holton is in the lower division in many sports. Look who wins the Lewis Cup every year, which is awarded based on cumulative athletic program. It’s very often Visi.

This is partly right. Holton is in the higher division in most sports. But cross-country is the only sport in which they won the ISLs last year. Sidwell is better in tennis, SSAS in lacrosse, Potomac in softball, etc.

The Lewis Cup is a good proxy for overall competitive breadth and depth. Visi was the Lewis Cup winner in 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 1988. The school has the won the award more than any other ISL school.
