buy a dollhouse or not

Mine loved her dollhouse and played with it until she was 10. Some of the calico critter houses are cute and small. Mine always played alone or with friends.

Does your DD get gifts? Maybe your husband would be more amenable if you give the dollhouse as a birthday or holiday gift, and cull and donate or toss some of the old toys that are not in use.

+1 Maybe get a play kitchen. Boys and girls both enjoy it. Although why can't your DD have something just for her?

OP here. We still have a play kitchen. I am planning to gift it to her as christmas gift. She loves to play with stuff animals and put them to bed and feed them. So, I believe she would love a doll house. She is 3.5.

All young children can benefit from a doll house or similar playset like a barn Firehouse, castle etc... Both boys and girls enjoy playing with them. We had various ones but our fisher price my loving family grand dollhouse was the favorite. I still miss it. Was popular with my son & daughter and girls and boys that came over. I think they're discontinued but can still find then sometimes, or I would suggest something similar. It folded nicely & stored well.
