I watched this with DH and he tried to compare Suzanne’s life story and abandonment of family to a brief period of time when I decided to pursue a passion project with an end point (a performing arts production) and I will forever link this show to that sh*tty conversation. 🤣

I watched the whole thing because I was too far in to stop but ugh. I was so annoyed with this random cult popping up out of nowhere and lasting for 100 years....how? They have cars but live in communal houses and wear old fashioned clothes except for this one cop and the main guy has a home infusion machine? And they made up their own bible and had it printed and bound but only have one copy? The details of the cult itself were SO DUMB.

Right? I was trying to understand their daily life. Like the cult itself reminded me of Gilead, except Gilead is based on some warped interpretation of the Bible and we see how it manifests. Why are satan worshippers so old fashioned? Makes no damn sense to me. And yet I couldn’t look away…

I would have bought it if they were current generation. It was the maintaining it for 100 years I couldn't buy.

Forgetting the cult, I thought Suzanne's journey was interesting.
