Some may have. We haven't given it yet. We'll do the reading this coming week and the math portion the following week.

We did both this last week to get it out if the way. But IReady testing will happen within the next few weeks if it hasn’t already.

If the child is above like the 30th or 40th percentile, they completely ignore it. If the child is below, the child may be flagged for interventions. It is not used for any advanced placements or advanced groupings, even if the child has an outrageously high score.

We used it for Adv Math placement. It is used predominantly to get an idea of which kids are below grade level. Which is why it is asinine to make kids who are high take a test to just take a test.

The testing this year is out of control already.
what tests has your school done so far?

Testing for the fall in ES this year…

IReady- Reading/Math
VGA-Reading/Math
Developmental Spelling
Lexia- new program for reading that has assessment portion
Some students will be getting additional testing such as Oral Fluency and Core Phonics
Social Emotional Screener

We did IReady last week.

We also have to assess each student using the new Reading Fluency Passage (or whatever it is called) by the end of September. We just had a quick 2nd pastry of the training on Thursday. That has to be administered individually and I don’t know when we are going to get all of this done. We just passed out laptops at the end of last week and changed passwords, so we’ll start iReady this coming week.

I think that is K-3. 4-6 is only for some students.

I teach 4th. At my school, all students are getting the RFP - it’s replacing the DRA. We are starting to administer it this week.

I am PP and I teach 6th. We were told that only certain students will get it. Looks like it will vary from school to school.

All I can say is that both my AAP and GenEd kid HATE it. I, in turn dread it because it is all I hear about a few times a year.

I teach a lower grade and all students will be assessed using the RFP. In addition, any student scoring below the 39th percentile on iReady Math needs to be assessed using the AVMR. My question is, “When?”. It’s too much.

PP here.
ADD Vantage Math Recovery

I’m not trained, but basically it’s assessments and tools to help with teaching math.

IReady is the only test that can identify dyslexia. FCPS still ignores dyslexia but the test can show all the signs.

Where can I find the Iready norms for 2022-2023?

Where can we find out our kid’s score? Is the teacher supposed to tell us? I think my DS in 1st grade did this assessment last week.

Ummm no... Iready is not the only test that can identify dyslexia. Im pretty sure it doesnt identify dyslexia, but It can show a need for further testing in a child that performs really low.

It. Is. A. Screener. No screener identifies dyslexia, you need a TEST for that.

PP- have you thought about getting your self screened?
