Mileage is poor. My parents have one and it gets like 13 mpg.

I just don't believe this. 13?! There's almost no way. Are they always towing something?

Snow and ice handling are principally a function of tires, particularly ice which is even more dependent on braking. All modern AWD and stability control nanny systems are highly capable.
