We did this once. The lasagna we received was huge and generous and unfortunately not to my family’s liking. It turns out that there are many ways to make lasagna, not all with a red tomato based sauce. |
Yeah it doesn’t taste the same as it used to |
Op here, and this is a great idea. I found one via Mama Lucia, but it cost $135 which is way more than I want to pay. |
I'm skilled in a lot of areas but sadly, cooking isn't one of them. I ruin boiled eggs 😕 |
Rockville |
Second the Vace recommendation. We usually get a cheese and a meat for parties. |
Checking out Vace-- thx |
| Levi’s has a really good lasagna too. |
| Stellina!!! The best! |
Jeans and lasagna. Name a more iconic duo. (I’m kidding). I’m the person who suggested the Stouffers; that’s a bummer they changed the recipe (I’ve never actually had it). Also, OP, I know you said you ruin boiled eggs and sometimes life just needs catering but the Six Ingredient Solution (an America’s Test Kitchen title) has a lasagna that I have liked to make. And it’s noodles, jarred pasta sauce, Italian sausage and cheeses. It’s literally just assembling. |
| Honestly lasagna comes across as a cop out for any event other than a family dinner. |
| Best lasagna I ever had came from the Italian Store in Arlington. Not catered— you cook it yourself, but almost as easy. I think you have to order ahead. |
| Italian store lasagna is good. |
| OP, if you are in Rockville - Gemelli’s in Darnestown. They are *amazing.* |
| Good band name |
