It’s dumb, they should’ve of done this in the summer, not when kids are back at school, but we got one and told my 15 year old DS to buy whatever he wants. |
Source for this? I cannot find it anywhere. |
I just called, and I was told that they would load $391 onto the cards on the 25th (Thursday) OR send out new cards (the woman I spoke to wasn't sure which). I feel guilty that I am receiving this money when we don't meet the eligibility requirements (other than having a kid at an eligible school and having said kid miss school due to Covid). I'm going to use the money to buy a bunch of groceries for our food bank. I encourage others to do the same! |

APS Families: Recently, you received a P-EBT card from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) by mistake. VDH has disabled the cards and is in the process of reissuing them to the correct families. Please dispose of the card you received. |
Deactivated!! |
Based on general info here, I used one of the cards before the notice. Wonder what the plan is … |
I got this email too. But surely it wasn’t sent to all APS families, right? |
It wasn’t sent to everyone- only people who were sent the cards. |
I meant, surely some families in APS were entitled to the cards, right? |
Yes, that’s why they are going to re-issue the cards to only the families entitled to benefits. |
I haven't used the cards, but out of curiosity, I tried to activate one today... it has not been deactivated and still has money on it. So anyone who missed that email or doesn't care may very well end up using the cards before VDH gets around to deactivating them. |
Huh we didn't get one. My kid wasn't out for Covid, but did miss 6 days of school for other illnesses (and yes we had to test before she returned). I'm wondering if we'll get one... |
What school are you? It’s based on school per the website. |
I’m sure that’s traceable. |
