When do middle school schedules get posted? (APS)

We are still waiting on any info on homeroom assignment.

I sincerely wonder if they do this so that they will not get calls from people trying to switch their kid's schedule around. Can't say I blame them if that's the reason.

I think that must be it and I don’t blame them either.

My DD's homeroom assignment came in the mail yesterday, just FYI. Hopefully, you get that today or tomorrow at the latest.

+1. STAR teacher and which group my child is in arrived yesterday. Schedules will be distributed the first day of school.

Kids with anxiety like to map out their schedules ahead of time.

Make sure they go to the orientation this week.

Only 6th graders have orientation.

That doesn't really help if they don't have their schedule until the first day of school.

All they have to do on the first day is get to their homeroom. That’s the only important part. After that the teachers and staff will help a lot with schedule, rooms, etc.

Don’t let your kid spin on the rest. Just focus on getting to homeroom.

This is nothing new. Swanson has done it this way for years-my now college Sophomore didn't get it until the first day.

Couple reasons middle schools don't want to give the full schedule out until kids show up on the first day:

1. New families are still registering their kids this week, sections are being adjusted, switched, evened out, etc. School staff can make changes without anyone knowing, all the way until Friday afternoon or even the weekend, as long as you don't have your schedule.

2. If you had your kid's schedule, many of you would be requesting changes immediately, complicating the whole thing.

1. Rude that they are waiting this late!
2. They do the same thing the first couple weeks of school anyway.

OP here, saw on Informed Delivery we are supposed to get the letter today. I don't think DD would have cared so much if it weren't for this whole "team" concept which as her friend group abuzz about who is in which team. I get what they are trying to do with this, but I personally think they should divide the kids into groups and execute this team concept but keep it under the radar and not apply labels to the groups. The kids don't need to know why they are in X class instead of Y! By applying these labels and explicitly dividing into groups it just creates stress and frustration.

My MS child has classes that are unstaffed. Will Duran be sending some of the Syphax administrators he keeps hiring on Monday to babysit the children?

What school and what subjects? They are still in process of hiring long term subs.
