Public school accommodation: if my kid has to leave school for therapy, can content be recorded?

In this scenario, I feel like your child would just miss whatever is missed. Hopefully it’s not a core class. It seems unfair of you to ask the teachers to accommodate your child when they are missing class weekly. I also don’t think it’s fair to ask a teacher to be recorded.

I think it’s best if you just accept that your child will miss a bit until you get a new appointment and not put the burden on the school.

Something fishy about this post.

This is talk therapy? Or for a disability identified in a 504 or an IEP? Bc if it's not for those then they don't need to accommodate anything. It's your choice to have her miss school, not an accommodation for an identified disability.

Even if it IS therapy for an identified disability... it still sounds preposterous even if one isn't asking for a video recording. That's actually hilarious.

Which is why I think you've never attended an IEP meeting hahaha. In which case accommodation doesn't mean what you think it means.

Is your child alone or is it a small group. Small group, ALL of the other parents must consent. 1:1, maybe.
