Kimchi making my fridge smell bad

You could wipe the jar very clean and close it very tightly. Or you can put it into a plastic container or a plastic bag. I like to strip the paper/plastic labels cause the sauce drips on it and that smell stays there. It's like having fish sauce in the fridge-strong smell.

Baking soda helps.
