I have never used a "real" diaper bag-my son is now 13 mos.
I've loved my $30 (or so) bags that I've gotten.( Bought at target, gap, nordstrom junior's section, H&M is great!)
They've been faux leather, so no need to worry about things spilling on them, aren't quite as big as traditional diaper bags ( a plus IMO) and when I get sick of one I just go shopping and get a new look for 30 bucks--fantastic!
I love that I'm just carrying a larger purse. I can't stand all the stuff that screams "I'm a mommy". I love being a mother but I have to maintain my own sense of style, after all
