HS choice for kids taking Algebra II in grade 8

DS is taking Algebra II this year, though, and someone told me that not all of the DCC high schools have enough math offerings for kids in his position to have a math class available during senior year. For anyone with knowledge of the DCC high schools, is this true? And, if yes, how does this impact the school choice process? Does it mean that DS’s options are limited to certain schools? Or that does it mean that he can attend whatever school he is admitted to, and take his math class at a different school for senior year?

Most HSs have dual enrollment options with MC. He will be fine at any high school. I can not imagine how many kids would insist on 6th grade algebra if it let you choose any HS you desired.

All MCPS high schools allow kids who are accelerated to take math at MC.
Some have buses to MC. I heard Northwood has one because they have the dual degree program.
Kennedy has options beyond BC Calculus as does Blair.
Einstein has AP Stats but I think your child would need one more year after that.

Since the pandemic they have allowed virtual classes for students in your child's situation so your child can attend any school.
