Kim is not off the hook at all. She’s disbarred and about to be sued by Howard’s wife. |
|
i did not like the finale, i found it an emotionally vacant, showboat-y ending.
|
Yes, and that’s what was relayed to Saul/Jimmy. I think that’s why he, under oath, confessed to being Legal mastermind to Walter White. He made a point to state that he was right up there with Heisenberg. I think he knew that statement would shift focus to him since everyone else is dead. |
When did they say she was disbarred? How do you disbar someone who voluntarily turned in her bar license six years earlier? |
|
We just finished - and oh, that was a perfect ending.
I don't think we know if Kim is practicing or not - I would guess not; I think she's using the bar card to go into the jail but isn't actually still a member of the bar. But she's going to be doing something to try to be good now, I think. That scene of her in the Legal Aid office - she was back where she belonged, and back to being herself. |
| I liked it. The one honest thing he did was love Kim and he did an extra 73 years in hopes she might at least respect him. The season overall was super slow though. |
| I wonder just how much he told the Feds when he negotiated down to 7 years. Did he tell them about the vacuum store guy? He must have! |
I don’t think she’s disbarred. |
+1 Who would have thought this series would have wrapped with a romantic ending? I also like the bit they did right after the show (at least on cable) where the cast members all thanked the fans for watching. Not sure I had seen that before. Nice gesture. Can't wait for the Gus spin-off. |
At no point during the series was she disbarred. She voluntarily turned in her license and "retired" from practicing law, moved to FL and started a new life...6 years later realizes NM bar card doesn't have expiration date which I guess is how she was able to meet with Jimmy in the end. |
| So refresh my recollection please. Did Jimmy really kill his brother? i thought the fire was an accident but it was so long ago I no longer remember. and did Jimmy really mess with his brother's malpractice insurance? |
No, he didn't kill his brother. He messed with his malpractice insurance which he knew would hurt Charles deeply but Charles committed suicide. |
|
I found myself a little unfulfilled right after I watched it - but the more time I've spent thinking about it, the more I liked it.
My biggest complaint - between the specificity of not only which prison he wanted to go to, but also the cell block, plus the specificity of the ice cream, I thought there was some plan afoot. Like, maybe one of his old clients would be there, or maybe Huell? And he'd use the ice cream to bribe them or something? It left me waiting for some big thing that then never happened. If they'd just left off the part about the cell block, it would have been much better, IMHO. |
Do we get a OTNB Saul Edition? It could work. |

Now I want props!
